I wouldn't say the road after going over the bridge from Canada to Michigan is perfectly flat. Neither would I say the parkways in and around New York city are flat.
Driving from Montreal to Kalamazoo, then to New York and back in a few days isn't what I would call "not driving it anywhere" either..
I take this car from Montreal to Cape Hatteras (NC) every year on a windsurfing trip. Drove it Montreal to Chicago and to Boston last year on top of that.
At over 20k miles per year this is one SVT that sees plenty of driving.. There is a way to be careful, where you're actually paying attention, so as to not destroy the bodywork.
I'm not saying there's no sacrifice in driveability, but it's far from impossible.
I don't teeter-toter it over everything either, people who saw me circle Gingerman raceweay know how I can push this car..
