I'm was wondering how the mirko front splitter is held on to the front bumper cover of the contour svt? Also how far off the ground does the front of the car look compared to the stock look of the bumper?
thanks

Mirko undertray brackets:

Double-sided tape for the corners:

Bolting it up:

Making the sides fit:

Height depends on your suspension. Here's my ignition key, it barely fits upright under the spoiler:

Two coke cans to compare:

I've since lowered it even more.. Here it is in the grass at Spring Zing:

Every road where you live must be perfectly flat or you just don't drive it anywhere. I really want to put the splitter on my car but I would scrape every day pulling in and out of my driveway. I couldn't even imagine lowering it. Your car is freakin awesome!! I'm going to do one of the two anyway, but I can't decide which one I want to do.

I wouldn't say the road after going over the bridge from Canada to Michigan is perfectly flat. Neither would I say the parkways in and around New York city are flat.

Driving from Montreal to Kalamazoo, then to New York and back in a few days isn't what I would call "not driving it anywhere" either.. wink

I take this car from Montreal to Cape Hatteras (NC) every year on a windsurfing trip. Drove it Montreal to Chicago and to Boston last year on top of that.

At over 20k miles per year this is one SVT that sees plenty of driving.. There is a way to be careful, where you're actually paying attention, so as to not destroy the bodywork.

I'm not saying there's no sacrifice in driveability, but it's far from impossible.

I don't teeter-toter it over everything either, people who saw me circle Gingerman raceweay know how I can push this car..

Thanks for the props btw, very much appreciated! laugh

Oh, and lower it. Much more rewarding that running that splitter on a car with stock suspension.

I wasn't saying anything negative about your car. I love it. I was just saying that I wouldn't be able to lower it and put a splitter on mine w/o scraping it alot. Lowering it was what I was thinkin'!! wink

Pascal,
Many props for an amazing looking contour. My girlfriend and I both drool over that pic of your contour next to the Silver Protege. She really wants a Protege.

Would you mind telling me where you got your splitter at??

Thanks!
Jason
