I have had my CSVT for two weeks. Out of no where, the car just won't start. I checked the battery cables and nothing is loose, I made sure the clutch was all the way in, and nothing. I get no noise, the car does not try and turn over, yet all of my lights, dashboard panel, and cd player work fine. Any Ideas???

Did you check connections at the starter? It could be loose.

could be ingnition switch problem... i hope not for your case though.

Yep mine went the same way out of nowhere and it wouldn't even click.

Thanks for the information. To the two people who had to replace the starter, what was the cost of parts, then what was the cost of labor? And what type of starter should I get. Thanks a bunch, I guess I have to get it towed to the dealership.

Labor? What's that. We do everything outselves on here. That's the point of this forum. Starter is like $60 most likely. Who knows how much a shop would hose you for. It takes an hour on the high side. They'd probably juice you for 2 hours though. When you bring it there they are going to charge you a dianostic fee. They aren't going to listen to what you think the issue is. Look at about $300 total if you don't do it yourself.

What is the PATS light? The only lights that are on when turn the key are the check engine light, and the oil light.
