I used the VHT NightShade spray tint. I don't know why everyone is against having them darker. Mine are pitch black and I think it looks damn good against the red. The dark look is just like the factory taillights on the mid 90 RX7's. Although I guess everyone has there own opinion.

Good job on your headlights, they look fantastic.
I'm not so much a fan of tinted tails anymore. I tinted the tails on my black Mystique and painted the reflector black to matchthe body and that was cool....because it was black on black. Now,on my pre98 tour,I did a very light 'raccoon eye' effect, leaving the red circle red,and lightly tinting the rest of the lens. it's barely noticeable on my car. I also don't like the look of niteshades, because when you look closely, you can tell it was sprayed on and it just looks tacky,IMO.
The look of tinted tails is cool, but I hate it on post98 trunks, just because it's so much space to be covered.

Well you can't just spray it and call it quits. I sprayed a few coats on mine and sanded it upto 2000 grit and then clearcoated it. It has the same finish as the rest of the cars paint. The reflector still shows through when light hits it (as you can sort of tell by the flash of the camera) and the lights/brake lights show through just fine as well.
