Ive seriously thought about getting a 2001 or newer Elantra, just from what I have seen and heard from this car... But I just love my contour too much to give it up just yet.
True I have driven an Elantra and they do shift nicely. Not that I would run out and get one. But they have been improving big time. Look at the tiburon, it has made quit a leap in the last few years.
