When accelerating hard in 3rd or 4th gear, I sense the slightest bit of vibration from the driver's seat. It's not a quick vibration, but more along the lines of a slight pulse every half second. i can't tell where it's coming from, but I feel it a little in the seat. Nothing shakes violently, and it is not felt in the steering wheel. It's so minute, that often I think it's my imagination. Any guesses? Thanks in advance.

put your hand on the shifter & see if it wobbles too. In which case it could be bad news.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Start with the cheap things first. Yeh check the seat is secure .....Check front and rear end for free play etc, check wheel balance at which time it would pick up a bad tire if it had one. If that reveal nothing you'll be looking into a drivetrain balance/wear issue

Um...see what?
Anyway, there's definately no vibrating in the shifter. I'm not too worried, since I'm not sure it really exists. And if it does exist, it's definately not getting any worse. One of my tire's has a patch on the inside, and I only started noticing the slight vibration after that was applied. The shop was supposed to rebalance that wheel, but I suppose it's very possible they didn't. I bet that could be it. Whattya' think guys?

It sure sounds like you should verify the balance.

I've battled a seat vibration issue for over 2 years. Finally fixed it when I replaced the after market axels w/ OEM ones.

But actually, now that I think about it. If the balance of a tire were off, it would vibrate all of the time or once past a certain speed. This only happens during hard acceleration. I have been driving this rental car so long I'm beginning to think this was all my imagination.
