Happened to me just a few years ago and it still hurts. Especially knowing that I now have 3 children that she never got to meet. Her birthday was Dec. 25th to boot, so I get reminded every year.
My Dad passed away just a week after my first adopted son was born. At least I got to tell him before he passed on.
