I was told tha the pump would be niether high pressure or higher volumn. The focus of this reconstuction is to built the pump using a different material(example: titanium) for its structal integrity and stability. Also to built the pump up as fail free unit when it come to the bearings, seals, etc. so that you will never have to replace the pump again. The higher volumn/pressure issue would be something they would consider after the initial pump is finished; how they can beef it up.
Stazi or Ray, if you are still interested PM me and I will sent you his contact information.

Waste of time. The factory fixed the problem of the early pumps in 1999. Later model pumps don't fail like the early ones and they are already out there...cheap.

Then why would there be people out there who keep an extra water pump at thier house or in car. I think it may be a good idea for an improvement during the second stage of design(once considered), which is to improve volumn and flow after the pump is built.
It's only a waste of time to people with low esteam for greater achievement.

Ray mentioned he carries one in his car, I'll bet he is the only one. The revised waterpump as war mentioned, does not have a high failure rate nor do the aftermarket metal impeller pumps. I have owned three different Duratec Contours over the past six years and never had a waterpump problem. I did swap out a pump in my first SVT because I wasn't sure that I had the revised one, still running fine after three years. As I see it there is no need for an upgraded waterpump. You might want to take a look at warmongers site, he has quite a list of achievements!

I'll pass on the search playa. I was just passing a message along for a friend.
On another note though, what mechenical components would you guys prefer being upgraded or remodeled to perform better. Thier is a large market for after market parts, but not often do people get a chance to give there idea or thoughts to somekind of acredited company such as BF Goodrinch.
These guys our hungry, and are trying to put something out in the street market and in the race market. Take advantage of it before the door is closed on suggestions.

Try hubs and axles that are affordable.
Try forged rods that are affordable.. (though even these won't help us much)
Try machining a jackshaft assembly for a roots type supercharger that replaces the front mount and allows the charger to be mounted in the valley or anywhere.
Anything else would be beyond the skill range of even a skilled shop.

?Roots type supercharger?
I don't think that anything is beyond fabricating experience for 15+ years in the business, but there is allways a what if. I will however pass the ideas along, that is the least I can do.

How about a 3L stroker crank with rods and pistons to match? Have 'em sell it as a kit. 3.5L sounds pretty good. Plus, with all the 3L Ford engines still in production, someone might make a few bucks doing it.
Black 1998.5
3L Oval Port
Full HMS Transmission
Lots of other stuff

I'll pass it along, and let you know what I find out, would it be a posible bottom end build up for a turbo/SC/NOS set up than.
Personally I don't think it would be posible but it isn't me doing the work. I may have to pick up a pump from a JY and pass it off to them for the (zetec guys) to find out waz up, since the others don't want to be a part off it
