Waste of time. The factory fixed the problem of the early pumps in 1999. Later model pumps don't fail like the early ones and they are already out there...cheap.
Then why would there be people out there who keep an extra water pump at thier house or in car. I think it may be a good idea for an improvement during the second stage of design(once considered), which is to improve volumn and flow after the pump is built.
It's only a waste of time to people with low esteam for greater achievement.
