Actually it became a dealer installed option in 1999. It was never a true "factory" option on any year. Even in 2000 it was dealer installed. They came in the trunk if so ordered just like in 99.

Sunroofs were not offered on E0 98's.
If an E0 has one it was a dealer or aftermarket unit.
I'm not entirely positive if it was even a factory option on E1 98.5's.
However by 99 it was a no-cost option from the factory.



My sunroof is definately factory, and I believe my car is an E0 (#3780). Do we know when they changed from E0 to E1?
