OH OH... I can make a GTO post now!
I got to drive my friend's yellow 04 GTO with auto... didn't get a chance to get on it much since it was raining and slippery, but it did break the tires loose so easy with ever so slight pressure on the gas at 35mph... I miss RWD!
Did notice that the steering was kinda like the Contour's (you know, NOT American/Japanese ultra no-feel style). The seats seemed very comfy too.
What I didn't like was the steering wheel itself. The Contour has the nice place for your thumbs at the 9&3 positions... the GTO has a sharp corner there where the plastic meets the leather wrap.
He didn't think he could afford one, but went to look at it anyway and jumped all over it when he saw that it was cheaper than what he owed on his 2002 Blazer Xtreme (also yellow). IIRC he said it was like $21K or $22K with around 8K miles on it. Apparantly the lady (yes, a lady that bought a GTO) didn't drive it much b/c she ended up not liking the car being yellow.
Funny thing was that he mentioned that he doesn't even particularly like yellow cars that much... just that he gets deals on them!
