That's what I think also. The car looked awesome before, but now it looks like you're trying too hard. The front is nice, but the rear and sides look almost as bad as the Kaotic kit.

Appreciate all the comments, both good and bad. Never going to make everyone happy with any bodykit decision, but I like it personally. I can certainly see the logic in some of the negative posts however, particularly in regards to the Rear.

Corecct me if I'm worng but were you not just trying to sell this car?
I was. Decided a little while back to keep it. Buying a house now, and the established loan and positive equity on the note looks better on the credit than a new car loan does.
Current plan is to keep the 6, and when it gets closer to a payoff, pick up a project car of some sort (perhaps even a kit car like the Factory Five GTM *drool*) and use the 6 as a daily driver.

well IMO the fogs look ricey cause they are blue
I needed fogs and that's all I could find. I'll probably change them soon.

the rear bumper seems to stick out a little too much making it seem longer then it is.
The bumper itself is stock; the apron just hangs on the lower end. You can blame the long bumper on US crash regulations, the Mazda6 outside of the US isn't nearly as bulbuous as ours in the States is.

I'll be the first to say that I love the whole kit, even the rear (although it looks better in profile than head-on). Some CF would look good, but I like it in all white... kinda classy-tuner-ish, like a kitted TL or TSX.
Thanks. And good eye. Kenstyle (the maker of this kit) traditionally does high-end cars, particularly Acuras, Infinitis, and Lexus'. They're actually offered as OEM options in Japan.
Quote:
On the rear, is it a complete bumper or does it have ground effects attached to it?
The rear of the kit is an apron. It just attaches to the bumper.

I like it. I was thinking it would look better with bigger wheels but if you're already running 18's I guess it wouldn't make that much difference. The kit has a way of making the wheels/tires look smaller than they are I guess.
Karl
Whole-Heartedly agree. And the 19s would give me some much-needed height off the ground as well. But seeing that I've already got 2 sets of 18s, I'm not about to go buy a set of 19s as well.

I like the car but like the rest I don't care for the rear...it definitely could do without the black piece and those reflectors...or whatever it is trying to accomplish.
Well, the reflectors are on the stock bumper and are technically required to pass inspection (but then, so are the sidemarkers that this kit removes in the front). The apron just has holes in it to continue to expose them.
The black area in the rear was white at first just so I could see what it looked like, but made the "Big Ass" syndrome even worse. The black thins it out a bit, and that black line is also the reason I put the black taillights in as well.
Quote:
Looks really good - but it needs bigger wheels now. (and an exhaust kit wouldn't hurt either - looks stock to me).
It's got Magnaflows on it. It doesn't look like it with that kit on there, but those are 4" tips.

Theose SSBC brakes are MAD expensive - crazy stuff!
And I got a MAD deal on them too. Half cost. The reason they're not on (and wy I got a good deal) is that they don't fit 2003 Mazda6s because of a minor bracket change. I need to do a test-fit, see what I need to do, and get some new brackets made.

The rear looks bloated and saggy - it's just too big and doesn't flow with the car. The rest of the car looks good though. Wheels are perfect.

It could be fixed then, if you raised the rear end a tad, as it looks too low compared to the front - it would help offset the look of the bodykit in the rear. Now...how you do that with conventional springs, without being ghetto, is the question. It would be nice if you could move the spring downwards - maybe if you put a spacer beween the spring perch and the strut mount it would give you some lift without adversely affecting the suspension performance.

He did say this...
I'm gonna work on solving this soon, perhaps with some coilovers to get the car up a tad more.

I think a lot of you are being highly critical but then again that's what a lot of you do best. I suggest most of you comment on the rear bumper of the car because that is all you would see if you tried to run with a 6 in your contour
