Never I would get a tat of my car. (Got many others though, almost all of 'em on my upper arms - easy to cover )

just because you are too much of a wuss to get a tattoo, don't put down other people for doing it...what's wrong with tribal bands????how is someone a sheep for getting one?????now if you said barbwire then yes,but some tribal bands are very artistic and unique...
i happen to have one that a friend of mine who is a tattoo artist designed for me,and am about to get a sun with my son's initials in it above it,and they both flow together very well.....
To most people, myself included, tribal bands all look the same and the majority of the 'tough guys' have them around their biceps no matter how big or small.
And I doubt it has too much to being a wuss about tattoos. To some people, they are just tacky...

Last year, a friend of mine from highschool (2002 grad) came up to visit me at college. I knew him pretty well and he was really into computer games. He got a tatoo of two nintendo guns (yes the orange ones) crossed on his chest with cords coming out and smoke out the end. The cords were twisted around the words under the guns that said "stick to your guns" ... full color and everything.
That's perhaps one of the saddest things I've read on this board. I'm not sure whether to laugh or retch at the absurdity of it all.

Here is my take...tribal bands are retarded. Anything to do with a manufacturer is also in that grouping. Japenese, religious, and otherwise are understandable. The only thing I would ever consider are the sun, moon, stars, earth, wind, fire...something that isn't going to come in and outta popularity. I doubt I will ever get any tats...in fact I know I won't. Tom (wa2tuff) has a cool sun and the moon tat on his arm. Pretty timeless tattoo IMO.

I wonder to which "tribe" those people belong to?
Commercialization of ancient customs is always amusing to me.

Ryan! Props for backing up my statement. Completely Tacky!
Here is a great link to see what happens when you decide you no longer want to your tatoo CAUTION: VERY GRAPHIC

And to CHRISSILVERSVT: I did 3yrs active duty beginning when I was 17 1/2 in a combat arms position. I just wasn't stupid enough like the rest of my fellow troops to act like a sheep and get a tat of whatever FAD was popular

You should have put a graphic warning on that link. I am cringing here about how some of those look. One person was just cutting their skin off to get rid of it...
