If you ask any alpine rep or anyone like steve brown or chris yato from alpine( the ones who are responsable for all the alpine demo cars), they would tell you the same thing, alpine does not believe in remote starts and takes why they haven't and won't produce one. You are correct with the remote start sensor input to shut down the shock and starter kill, but I would not want to have two different transmitters to do the alarm and the remote start, when I could have just one.... just my thoughts away

I'm looking at this aladdin 2000 alarm and it has every option possible known to man but I'm not sure how good of an alarm it is overall.
