I currently own a 98 V6 se with about 200,000 km. The tranny is probably on its last legs, and Im not 100% sure the engines been kept up with the greatest of care (the car was my dads, my old engine was mint after 270,000 km to bad the tranny wasn't, and i have a witness)
Any ways, I have been informed that I can pick up a '04 MPV engine and tranny for a reasonable price, from an MPV that was originally in Japan. From what I've been told they still use a 2.5 V6 there.
Can anyone verify this, and if I cant use the engine would I be able to use the trany? If I can use the tranny would I have to make any mods to it in order for it to work ie flashing the PCM, changing sensors, etc.
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
