the cobra moniker wasn't really used on mustangs until the 93 model year when the SVT cobra mustangs were introduced,which carrol shelby had nothing to do with...that is not counting the mustang II that were called king cobras,but that was pretty much just fancy decals....
When I mentioned him driving a Mustang commonly referred to as a "Cobra," i was actually talking about a Mustang that IS commonly referred to as a Cobra, aka the newer ones... But that wasn't the point of my post, it was that he was using a nickname commonly used for his car and someone claimed he was being decietful. Why did they end just just calling them 'Cuda's? Because that's what everyone called them anyway. BTW, a couple years back I got to ride in my (16 year old) friend's '70 Hemi Cuda... BTW, he drives an '05 Roush Mustang now. As a senior in high school. That he paid for himself.
