No, it's more like him driving a Mustang Cobra, saying he drives a Cobra because it's easier to say and the Mustang Cobra is often referred to by that shortened nickname, and you interpreting it as him saying he drives a Shelby Cobra.





that's not so true of a statement either......a shelby cobra is a two seat roadster......a shelby mustang is a mustang tuned by carrol shelby...they weren't actually originally reffered to as cobras at all, they were shelby mustangs.....they weren't called shelby cobra mustangs....the later did however run 428 COBRA jet motors...but they were always officially reffered to as shelby mustangs...

the cobra moniker wasn't really used on mustangs until the 93 model year when the SVT cobra mustangs were introduced,which carrol shelby had nothing to do with...that is not counting the mustang II that were called king cobras,but that was pretty much just fancy decals....
