1995 4 cyl I replaced the head gasket and timming belt and now the eng will not start. rechecked the cam timing and also had someone else check the cam timing. it's OK. replaced the crankshaft sensor, the cam sensor and exchanged the computer. One major problem is the injectors all shoot at one time. I checked the wireing on the cam sensor and found some cracking but i repaired it.
I also changed the module on the firewall for the fuel injecton EDIS4. any ideas?

Is there spark? Check wiring to coil pack. Also check for blown fuses in the power distribution box.

Check for fuel and spark. Plugs in good condition and gapped right?
Plug wire condidtion?
Test your ignition coil for ohms across the terminals.

Sorry, I forgot to say, the spark is fine, I even checked the timing, it appears to be around top dead center on number one. The problem about the fuel injectors all shooting at the same time has me stumped.

Try scanning for codes, first, and maybe just pull the battery connection for 10 minutes and reconnect to reset the system. Also, if it floods out, it won't start. It does have sequential fuel injection, but I don't think you could see each one squirt, even at crankover rpm's. (I could be wrong)

Make sure you are clear as to what FavoriteMystaque posted.

If you pull the battery connection first, you will have erased all codes (even intermediate ones). Scan first, then disconnect.

Left a word out . Your timing could Still be off, how did you set it? I have a Ford service Cd I can check, or maybe a Zetec 2.0 expert is hiding out there..I mistimed my old Dodge, the cam was at exhaust when the ignition was at fire, easy to do wrong

I was going to try the code scanner but it requires me to start the enging, it won't. I had the battery disconnected during the engine repair so the old codes were lost. The camshaft timing I set by aligning the end (opposit the belt) with a flat bar in the groves of the two cams. The crankshaft was aligned with the second mark on the pulley. this is also top dead center of number one. The belt was then tightened. The spark timing I did not adjust, I don't know if you can, I just checked with a light. I put white paint on the pulley at TDC of # 1 and watched.
I pulled the 4 injectors out and pointed them up, when cranked, they spray all togather about once every round.
Maybe I can find a code checker that will work without the enging running? Thanks

To scan for the code, you just need to turn the ignition to on.

Thanks, I'll try to scan the codes.
