To all who are 'dying inside', never going to achieve, want to rip him off:
1. Grow up.
2. Have faith in yourself.
3. Approach life not an "I can't because attitude," but rather a "I can if" attitude.
4. Hard work and perseverance will take you a long way.
5. Confidence is key. If you lack it, you know why, so change it.
6. See #4 again.
7. Woory more about your own performance than that of others.
8. Whatever you do, do it as quickly as possible and to very best of your ability.
Between periods of lucidity (USMC, 4 out of 6 years in college), I spent too long growing up (read partied too much), and came late to the real life on few things. I was unhappy and it affected my life and those around me. Stress was out of control.
Look at life like eating an elephant - one bite at a time. And finally, be happy with what you do have. If you have health you're doing well. If you have family, you're doing very well. If you have friends, Family and health you have no excuses.
No one asked, but as someone on the wrong side of 35, I think the above is good advice. I learned it I learned the difficult way.
