Dont bother paiting them before cause they need to be grinded down before hand (to be welded)
The only problem i had was that the driverside bar hits my exhaust, so now the exhaust sits on the top of the connecter instead of being on the hanger.

you could always just paint the top flat part of the bar before putting them on. then paint the rest of it afterwards.

pretty much everyone should have them either coated, or painted (with good paint)

a rust prevent/protector like rustoleum, few layers of hammered paint.
