Now I am not so sad that I couldnt get an xbox 360. The glitches are so bad that a class action lawsuit has already started. Xbox 360 lawsuit

It doesn't take many people to start a class action suit.
The problems of the XBox360 are no worse, and are actually less in volume and significance, than those that affected the original Xbox on launch and the PS2 on its' launch. The problems affect less than 3% of the total consoles and only a very small percentage of those are affected in a such a way that the issue isn't easily fixed by the consumer.

i passed through toys r us the other day and figured i'd play the 360 demo machine. Low and behold it was suffering from the overheating problem. Or whatever a flashing red light on the front means...and no display.

my freinds all have a 360 and no problems. ive played three demo models and they dont have any problems either

well, they haven't really produced many (I heard they were keeping the numbers low, to keep demand high until after the holidays), so 3% really isn't many. I have a feeling the problems will be fixed in the near future
let this be a lesson: only buy the first generation of a $400 gaming system if you can really afford it, cause just like with the first of anything, it's gonna screw up

well imagine the poor shmuck who paid $1k on ebay and it fails. now he has to wait a few weeks to get a replacement and theyll be all over ebay for $100 over retail  note: im subscribing to the theory that these will not be readily/easily available till after New Years..

Hehehe. Wait until Christmas Day. Then see how many are Truly affected with glitches. Most of them haven't been played yet.
Buy a Nintendo, all their stuff works.
