yes, but this post is about bowing to the pressure of one group that hates another group.  and yes, having hate towards another group, for whatever reason, makes them a hate group. and yes, they do make the rest of the Christian world look bad when they go around spreading their hate-mongering.

I think companies are paying far too much attention to these fringe Christian groups engaging in economic terrorism. This change in policy represents a MAJOR change in how Ford handles the gay and lesbian demographics. The Christian Taliban threatened Ford months ago for thier advertising, and at that time Ford (rightly) told them to take their threats back in suppository form. Now, they cave.
Sorry, but a company needs to be based on more than a balance sheet and an income statement. Where are the values, and the stands based on those values? If you will debase yourself in any way just to get a buck, then you no longer stand for anything as a company.
FYI, the Mazda6 was the 2005 Gay Family Car according to gay.com.

Just my $.02 But what were they doing looking at he magazine any ways.They dont exactly put them right next to Christanity Weekly at the local Wal-Mart

Isn't insisting that Ford take a loss in order to cater to the needs of a tiny population also 'economic terrorism'?

Again, I'm not sure why the Christians are the bad guys in this case. Afterall, it was Ford who made the decision to end the advertising. If you want to think they're terrorists because of certain views they hold, then good for you, but what happened to the open-mindedness and acceptance of views that you're wishing for here?

I've long suspected that the most oppressive religious zealots are actually deeply closeted gays. They're so scared that they might burst out of the closet unexpectedly that they feel it necessary to try to wipe homosexuality off the face of the Earth
