John, should I get upset that Dodge has been aiming their marketing at Blacks?

No, because it's not racist until it's white people not catering to blacks or minorities. When it's the other way around, that's just considered blacks and minorities showing their equal rights.

Another thought. Who's to say that there aren't any gays working for Ford that also second' the notion not to advertise in the gay magazines?

Mark

It's NOT the same thing at all. Ford and Dodge are targeting black minority dollars AND latino dollars as well in their advertising. Additionally they are still maintaining their mainstream marketing to white people. Like someone said above, Toby Keith is one of Fords main spokes people. Neither company was excluding a segment of the population from advertising based on their sexual orientation until Ford did it recently.

Anyway, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this thread now.

what if a white supremacy group boycotted Ford for advertising in Vibe magazine, and Ford bowed to the pressure. would that be ok?
