I dunno, man. Jettas and Outback wagons get bought up like hotcakes by gay guys and gals. VW and Subaru must be doing something right.
And since Ford's not selling the retro-outr© Thunderboid anymore, they don't have anything that the gay market might want anyway, barring F-150s for certain butch types.

No, because it's not racist until it's white people not catering to blacks or minorities. When it's the other way around, that's just considered blacks and minorities showing their equal rights.
Another thought. Who's to say that there aren't any gays working for Ford that also second' the notion not to advertise in the gay magazines?

anyone else noticed that this thread started with an article that says one thing and the somewhere along the way the argument got flipped.
Article: Ford advertises in gay magazines, christain group tells them to stop, ford caves
Now: Ford doesn't want to cater to gay people and that is ok
The two arguments have nothing to do with eachother. Some people are saying that Ford is standing up for what they believe but in fact it is the exact opposite.

It's NOT the same thing at all. Ford and Dodge are targeting black minority dollars AND latino dollars as well in their advertising. Additionally they are still maintaining their mainstream marketing to white people. Like someone said above, Toby Keith is one of Fords main spokes people. Neither company was excluding a segment of the population from advertising based on their sexual orientation until Ford did it recently.
Anyway, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this thread now.

Ya know, I dont care for golfers. So I'm going to start a boycott of Ford until they stop advertising in Golf Magazine and Golf Digest. Sounds pretty stupid doesn't it?

what if a white supremacy group boycotted Ford for advertising in Vibe magazine, and Ford bowed to the pressure. would that be ok?

I don't get what the big deal is. So they are not advertising in gay magazines and publications? Its not like they are refusing to sell cars to them.
