just curious. I just picked up a laptop with a wireless conection in it and i've found open systems all over the place..sometimes i'll just drive around and see how many are open and who has the best connection...i'm pretty sad i know..

I feel it's their own fault for not securing their connection.
But the CEG lawyers will be in here shortly to fire up their torches about whether or not it's "stealing".

I did for about 2 days when I was setting up my wireless signal for the first time. I got the wrong signal. I found out the other day that my neighboor is using mine.

My roomate will use someone elses connection when the crappy internet in our apartment complex goes down. Its fair game, people need to set up security or acess lists. Its not like he is a huge bandwidth hog either.

exactly...i have my own access, i'm just saying,sometimes i'll just ride around with the lt...not much by me,but at my friends apt we found one out of fourteen signals secure...

The people who equate "stealing" connectivity to walking into someone's house if they leave the door open are ridiculous. If I had the choice of no internet or a neighbor's connection, I'm getting on the internet.
