I've always been reluctant to put additives into the ATX.
I've read some horror stories about Slick 50, Dura Lube and others plugging up oil gallaries in the valve body etc...
Looking for feed back on other's experience with this product.
Thx

Mike. (-29 c with the wind chill in Winnipeg tonight!)

I've been using it for years. Not a problem. It has solved problems. 1996 Windstar van - slipping, 1 bottle of Lucas, no more slipping. Friend had a 2001 Odyssey - MIL/CEL transmission service required. Dealer said - new transmission $4500! 1 bottle of Lucas, 20,000 miles later, no MIL/CEL, no slipping, and $4490 ahead of the game ($10 for the Lucas). 1998 Ford Contour, slipping out of drive at idle, fluid brown, smelling burnt. Transmission drain, flush, and 1 bottle of Lucas - now crisp smooth shifts, no more dropping out of gear. 1997 Lincoln Town Car, noisy steering pump. Flushed steering fluid, added 8 oz Lucas, nice and quiet now a days. Same Lincoln, transmission fluid change/flush 1 bottle of Lucas, fuel economy went from 18 MPG to over 19 MPG.

Not sure what is in that stuff, but I've not had a single failure related to it, yet it always seems to fix any failure that I throw at it.

I used it once but it didn't help much. I changed my TSS and MLPS, did the 3x drain 'n fill, and it seems to be better. Still get a 'bang shift' every now and then. Maybe I'll give it another try...sure beats buying a new tranny . I have heard alot of success stories using Lucas Transmission Fix...very little failure stories.

used the tranny stuff in my hearse..stopped the slipping.

The oil treatment i would stay away from...the guy that owns the garage i worked at use dit in his 2000 silverado.
after about 2 days he started getting some mild knocking.
changed the oil adn left out the lucas...no problems, no knocking.
same thing happened to his friend when he did it.

Lucas engine oil additive is nasty stuff. Tore apart an old truck motor that had that [censored] put in at every oil change and every component inside the engine was coated in a burnt layer of plastic goo.

After letting the pushrods and rocker arms soak for 2 WEEKS, they were still coated in the goo. Wound up replacing or reworking every single component in that engine (except the rockers)and having to get a whole new block (cracks in two cylinders). To this day the rockers are still coated in that goo.

Anyway, my advice is to steer clear of Lucas' engine treatment.

I've not used the Lucas engine oil stabilizer additive stuff. Just the transmission fix. I've never used engine oil additives aside from a quart of ATF right before an oil change to loosen the sludge.

That web page gave a great demo.
Good to see Todras is still his loveable self today.(BAHUMBUG).
I 've done reading reading on this product as well. One nice thing about it, they don't use all those BS infomercials to sell their product.

mmmmmmmm not sure if that was a convincing article...he sells that other sh!t...??schaefers??? i'd need more of a unbiased opion...all i know is that before i added it to my engine the oil pressure at idle with the car warm would drop to almost 20psi,and under a constant load it would be around 40psi...it now stays at 40psi or close to that at idle...
