I saw that list and it was missing constant physical gratification ...perhaps that is why he is a bit slow?

I saw the title of the thread and thought my wife was on here posting. Working on doing the head gasket and has taken over a month so far and the heads are still on the car. Don't have time to do a whole lot of working on cars with 2 kids to watch.

Teach the kids to watch themselves. Independance is a good thing even if they are 2 years old (or however old they are!)

Tried that before. Still haven't found those tools. My 6 year old is good it's the 2 year old that we have to look after. He found out with a chair he can do anything. A little more indepence would be nice but I like them the way they are. We can't afford the parts to fix the car anyways so that is why I can take my time.

my little ones just love to help! Of course it is hard to get anything done with them helping so much.

I am thinking about getting my 6yr old son his first toolbox and some decent hand tools this year. It is very exciting for me.
