Is there any way to get my Mystique looking more upscale? It looks so cheap! Right now, gas is pretty high, so I don't like driving my Slade much, and I dont like being of my status and driving a car that looks like an econobox. Some of the things I was thinking of was a 98+ front end, so I could get Xenon headlamps, and possibly, if it is possible, getting chrome interior door handles. Some more stuff I'd like to do is change from cloth to heated leather, get an arm rest that's actually USABLE (!!!) and, well, getting it to look more like its cousin, the X-Type. I want it to all look stock, but if any of you have any opinions, or suggestions, feel free to add to my list smile thanks!

Hmmm.. There really isn't much you can do to these cars to make them look anymore upscale. Most of the mods around here are either go fast or to make the car look snazzy  .

To get the leather seats you can take the car to a local apolstry shop and they can do it for you. It won't be cheap. As for the chrome door handles there are none currently available. frown

My opinion? Sell it. It's obviously beneath your status

Peter did a good job with his car. I have seen it at many meets and think he has done a great job with it

Have you considered one of the wood or carbon fiber dash kits available. www.autodash.com have some pretty complete kits for the dash/doors/console. Check the one from Florida Auto Trim that they carry. Something like this might go well with the leather. wink
