See.. I knew this. It's one of the biggest money makers for Best buy and CC. And even if your product breaks, what about the 10 other products that dont? This greatly outweighs the price of the one repair.
That is why I have never gotten the warranty before. But the question I pose with the lamps seems to make me want to consider it.




correct. they wouldn't sell them if, on average, they didn't generate revenue. and as someone who has worked in that retail industry, i can tell you they generate HUGE profits. i'd say less than 15% of all warranties purchased ever have to pay out. save the money you'd spend on them in a seperate account and see what happens.
