Great, thank you all very much! From some of the other searching I did on the forum in search of information, it sounds like I had better pull the lower intake manifold anyway and replace those gaskets. At the time I was only attempting to fix leaky valve cover gaskets and didn't have the tool to release the fuel rail couplings, so I only did the upper intake gasket.
Pulling the upper intake to get the coil off isn't too bad, so I'll see if she can do without her car for another day Saturday.
This forum is very helpful! I had the original message on AutomotiveForums.com (which is very helpful with the SHO) for over a week and no one responded, until a couple days ago when someone pointed me to this forum. Less than two days and I have my answer!
