I posted recently about how my '98.5 SVT had "stalled" a couple of times, like the engine died and then immediately started back up.

Today on the way home from work it died totally (worst time of day, worst traffic of day, nowhere to pull over, nursed it to a turn lane )

Engine turned over fine but no start. I checked the schraeder valve and there was fuel pressure. Bled off the pressure and it came back.

After nosing around under the hood, re-seating connectors on the coil and checking for blown fuses, it started right back up. This was after being dead for about 10 mins. Seemed perfectly normal at first. Drove it the rest of the way home (30 miles) and noticed that the engine seemed to have trouble revving. This was maybe 45 mins to an hour later. 1st and 2nd gear were slow to rev.

After it sat for about 30 mins, started up and now power is normal again.

Fuel pump? It has a brand new fuel filter.

Any other ideas?

'98.5 SVT#5826 of 6535, Silver Frost-As fun to drive as my old MR2 and way more practical! Not as much fun to drive as my Turbo Rx7 was, but it starts every time!
