Go through those links and tell me if you can find how much snow Moran currently has... Becuase I cant... Those links sucks! I tried this: www.showmethesnow.org

Umm first link.

Well, most of the snow that we received last week melted, but we expected that. We are getting some more now, but not enough to ride.

The major wind storm that the state got last week did some fair damage to the trails. All received minor tree problems, but a few got hit quite hard. A few members have been working the Western trails quite hard cleaning up the downed trees. For the most part, that is cleaned up, but they tell me that we are going to have to send the groomer out to push the stumps of a few of the large trees off the edge of the trail.

We still have to go and replace all of the recalled signs that were already put up. I think that is scheduled for the first week of December.

Think deep snow.

A reminder, regardless of the snow depth, the DNR says that the trails do not officially open until Dec 1. No grooming can begin before this, and riders are not supposed to be on the trail before then.

2nd link. Updated: 12/01/05

Eastern Upper Peninsula - By County
Luce: 1" cover. The muzzle loading season in our area will end at sunset December 11th, 2005. If weather conditions permit, we will open the gated trails on the 12th. We go over this every year, but we need to remember there always could be people just "tuning in" to this station! #9 TRAIL NORTH OUT OF NEWBERRY DOES NOT OPEN TILL AFTER MUZZLE LOADING SEASON IS OVER, EVEN IF THERE IS 6 FOOT OF SNOW ON THE GROUND, YOU CANNOT USE THIS SECTION OF TRAIL!! WHY?? BECAUSE THIS SECTION OF OUR TRAIL SYSTEM CROSSES PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THESE PEOPLE ARE HUNTERS. IF YOU SEE A CLOSED GATE, DO NOT GO AROUND IT!! LAND OWNERS HAVE THREATENED TO CLOSE US OFF ENTIRELY IF THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. IT IS EVEN GETTING TO BE A BIG PROBLEM DURING THE OTHER MONTHS OF THE YEAR DUE TO QUADS. MUZZLE LOADING SEASON RUNS FROM DEC. 2 TO DEC. 11TH IN OUR AREA THIS YEAR. You can, however, trailer out to the 3 Mile staging area and go North.
Chippewa: Yes, it snowed. No, trails are not open.
