I measured my SuperSport struts this morning (sorry for the delay  ) .
The "overall" lengths (measured from outermost tip to outermost tip) are :
open - 17�¾" (45.085 cm)
closed - 10 3/8" (26.352 cm)
measured from stud (center) to stud (center) , it's about �¼" less on each end (or �½" combined  ) .
open - 17�¼" (43.815 cm)
closed - 9 7/8" (25.082 cm)
