This car is Ford, pretty much through and through. The engine might have originated from german engineers but the transmission isn't. German engineering is usually tops.... For the tranny problems, blame Ford of Europe.
You mean the MTX-75 that is manufactured in Cologne, Germany, in the Cologne Transmission plant?
[censored], half the cars and parts for Ford are made in mexico, but that doesn't make it a Mexican car!!! The engineers were probably British and American.
