Playin w/LEDs again,Ignition light!

Here it is off,It is actually a much cleaner install than it looks here,my plastic here has finger and smudge prints all over it.

Here it is lit up,it comes on with the floor light,when I unlock the door with the remote,open the door etc.

It took about 30 minutes to throw together and install.
I saw someone do this on the Miata site,and had a LED flashlight that was broken so I pulled one of the White LEDs from it,soldered a 470 ohm resistor inline,attached some wire,heatsrinked it,then drilled the hole tapped into the foot well light,and popped the led and LED holder into the hole..and whala!
It is actually pretty bright.Looks neato from outside the car with the other lights off.

Looks pertty good. Nice mod. I'm actually thinking about doing that one now.

I like the LED look! But where do I get them? I went to Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts and found nothing. Do I have to go to like Radio Shack or something?

RAdio shack has the white ones for around $5,blue around $4.Get the LED holders also.
White part #276-320 $4.99 ea.
Blue p/n 276-316 $3.99 ea very bright.
LED holders-Plastic snap in holders-P/N-276-079 pack of five $.99
Go to the shack and ask for those parts and be set.MInus soldering and resistor skills.
