A downshift and gas petal to the floor at 28 mph does. Recently I want to drive it into a tree becuase I got smoked by a Taurus and a Sunfire. After I tune it up I will still loose but it had better be closer, otherwise..... But I should rreally quit complaining because the price was right. It suprises everyone who drives it though because it looks slower than it is. My brother thinks its really fast, but thats because he drives a CRV. To sum it up: latley, no its a sloooow but reliable car that has it good moments but when I first got it I thought it was the coolest car around.

right at around 25, in first gear...floor it, it'll downshift and ...woooooo! it puts a smile and giggle on my face every time i do it.
the first few months and even after that i was gettin suprized by it, but now it mostly suprizes other people. now that i know what the suprizes were, i can use them...thats even better
i love this car!

Today while getting out of one of the commuter lots at night, I was like "man...my indiglo gauges are so flippin sweet!" which I do often. Then i was like "man...i wish I was more motivated to match the rest of the interior to it"

So while I was turning, I decided to catch up with him (lagged behind a little being in the outside lane and all).. that was cool but when I stomped the gas to do so, our car being a 2L zetec and all, I was expecting to catch up enough that he'd be able to pass me..
Surprise surprise! I stomped, and he ended up in my rear view mirror
COOL!
[I don't plan on doing that again unless it's quiet, but it was fun anyway.. good thing there was plenty of space! ]
But yeah, you guys ever get surprised how peppy your car can be?
First time I went on a road trip... it was a 200 mile trip, by 160 miles, my gas gauge had JUST passed the 3/4 mark. Nothing like awesome gas mileage, and a really comfertable car to travel in.. Too bad I dont have cruise control.

That was a cool suprise the first time too. Corner beyond the limits and lift abruptly = little bit of oversteer. Passenger was suprised too.

usually the first really cold day of the winter, i'll goose it and the car will kick me in the @$$. I forget how much this car loves the cold weather.
Also, since i've got the flywheel lightened, 1st gear is a blast. A short blast, but a blast. Under full acceleration the tires are usually spinning towards the end, followed by spinnage in second, and depending on whether or not i'm lucky and whether i want to beat on the car a bark in third.
