I have had nothing but good luck with dealers. I take my car to two different dealers, depending on whether I'm at work or home. The dealer's mechanics do everything, including every oil change this car has ever had. I've never had an issue with the dealership techs. I wouldn't trust an independent mechanic. There is only one independent shop in the town I live in, and they told me they'd prefer not to touch a Contour. I think I've opened the hood of my car about twice in the last seven years I've owned it. I figure that's what I make money for....to let somebody else get their hands dirty and banged up.
