I don't buy arguments against the Corvette's rear suspension layout. It works, end of story. Yes another system might work as well, or possibly a smidge better, but that doesn't mean it's right for the car.

It's not like the engine being behind the rear wheels on a 911 is the best system either. But that works too, even though it goes against most automotive engineering principles.
