Perhaps you may allready know this but just to add my 2 cents. A larger box will make a sub sound better. Not louder mind you, but the sub will play deeper and sound smoother. Also if you don't have batting (poly stuffing in sheets stapled to the inside walls of the enclosure) I would suggest adding some thus slightly lowering the cu. ft. of the enclosure. However if you are looking for SPL only (loudness) then the smaller the box the better. I would personally go for the larger enclosure due to the higher "Q" but that brings up a whole nother topic i will not get into. The enclosure size reccomended by the mfg (infinity in this case) is to give you a min size requirement. As a side note if you do happen to buy another box I would stay away from ported enclosures due to the potential of unloading your subs and smelling that familiar smell of burned voice coil. Hopefully this will help you.
