A couple of questions that seem tough to get answers searching on. I am doing a full 3.0 swap into my CSVT. What do I do with the IMRC? Can I just leave it off and not mess with connecting the wiring? I am currently planning to just reuse the SVT OBC.
Are chips worth it, or just connect it all back up to the SVT OBC? I am not looking to race, just get back on the street. My total layout for the engine and gaskets will be around $600 plus a new clutch and pressure plate, and a $400 chip seems like a lot of money. Are they worth it?
ATX bushing, cut it off or extract it?
Fuel rail mods, what do you use for the pipe material? I plan to splice my SVT parts onto the Taurus, what is the raw material used? Does anybody do this mod, and if so, how much?
I think I have pretty much everything else coming together, I appreciate your answers to these items.

If you do a full 3L you throw the IMRC in the trash. Get a 2.5L to 3L chip from ADC and have them turn off the IMRC functions all together and adjust the fuel and timing accordingly.
As for the fuel rail mods, I can do them - PM me for the price and details.
The ATX bushing you can cut-off with a die-grinder and cut-off wheel.

OK, getting closer to the end of the swap, planning to drop the 3.0 in this weekend. I am plannig to run my SVT chip at the beginning. My question is, if I hang the IMRC box off to the side and hook up the wires to it, maybe even cut off the cable, will the CPU think all is well and run properly? I may chip it later, but just want to get it running.

Relating to this post, I have a similar question.
Having a 3L hybrid, should I also shut off the IMRC, or is it not recommended for my setup?

This might help you guys. It's straight off of DemonSVT's own website.

You cannot cut the cable off the IMRC it senses tension on the line and if it doesn't have any tension on it normally and when it pulls it will pop a CEL. I normally hook them up to a spring mounted near the driver's side strut tower when a chip isn't sourced right away.
As far as having a hybrid keep the IMRC for now unless you want to gut your lower intake manifold and weld the holes up.

You can shut off the IMRC in the chip and then disconnect the box all together.

I know that's how it would be done, but would I benefit at all, or no?

If you are using the full oval port UIM/LIM then you can't use the IMRC anyway.
