are you using the shareware version of all of them? do they work alright? i always had problems with the shareware versions of the stardock products.
I like konfabulator but the number of widgets are limited. plus you cant change the start bar to match

Sl33stak, that first theme of yours looks great. Would go nice with my background So thats Stardock or Desktop X? I havent messed with entire themes in a while. I gave Hoverdesk a try once a few years back, but got too fed up with it. Granted, I know a lot more about computers now so it probably wouldnt be so bad. Anyway, Ill look into it a bit more. Konfabulator is nice for people who just want a simple, quick, and easy way to have access to a few nifty items on the desktop. There could be more widgets, but Im pretty happy with what Ive got. Mikey- riiiight. Leave my desktop alone, I like it!

Good stuff kingpin! I've thrown down a little clock with alarm features, a weather reporter, and an iTunes controller. One question, how can I change the color of my XP profile? I've got it stuck on green, but all my o ther desktop is themed around black/yellow/orange. Anybody know of any resources to help out? Thanks!

No, i actually PAY for the products! LOL, it's the only (ooh that sounds bad) software I have ever bought!!!
And to answer KingPin, what you see is DesktopX for the weather widget, and the calender widget, but Windowblinds for the actual windows and start menu etc.... Plus I use Icon Packager to do my Icons, I'll throw Up a more current Screen shot in a second, all of those are kinda old.

Here....the latest desktop. The numbered tabs on the left toggle the widgets on and off.(not all are shown) The tabs at the top are like mini menus, I have the "graphics" tab selected and a small menu appears with some of my graphics apps (look near the bottom middle of the screen) I can add to the list or remove things from it. Oh a cool little detail...notice how the calendar and graphics menu cast a "shadow" on the grass?? Sweet eh?

A widget is like a little doodad...lol, it's just a thing to have on the desltop that does a task, like display the weather info and forecast, or a widget that will notify you when new email arrives, or one that monitors incomming and outgoing network activity, one that watches stocks for you, one that acts as a sticky note, an alarm clock, a flight watcher, a WiFi status indicator.....hell, i even have one that is a little bouncy ball that I click and "throw" around my desktop when I'm stressed!!! LOL, ya oughta go to Link to widget gallery this site to see what all you can do..it's kind of addicting.

Soo I'm still wondering if anybody knows a program that can change the menu/window bar colors? I'd love to go black/red themed, and this damn silver is so out of place! If not, what are my options other than going back to Windows 2000 style menus/windows.

Dont download the Konfabulator update! Its terrible. First, its now called the Yahoo! widget engine, and there is yahoo crap all over the place. The to do list got nixed, and in general I HATE THE UPDATE! I wish I could go back to my old Konfabulator I hate the new one with a passion. Hell, with just the name change they lost a ton of the appeal. Now, its Yahoo this and Yahoo that, and Ill be damned if I have 20 different ways to connect to yahoo on my desktop! F YOU Yahoo!
