A widget is like a little doodad...lol, it's just a thing to have on the desltop that does a task, like display the weather info and forecast, or a widget that will notify you when new email arrives, or one that monitors incomming and outgoing network activity, one that watches stocks for you, one that acts as a sticky note, an alarm clock, a flight watcher, a WiFi status indicator.....hell, i even have one that is a little bouncy ball that I click and "throw" around my desktop when I'm stressed!!! LOL, ya oughta go to
