well from what ive experienced with a spray can is its very hard to get an even spray, which means very easy for runs to happen..and lots of times even tho the paint code on the can matches the one on your car, they are different shades (at least with my experience). but, since its just a small piece of trim, u dont have much to lose but maybe $5 for a can of paint. i say go for it!
