I did my engine/trans swap and didn't use anything that looks like that..... or the bleached pre-finished red oak

hey steve, i recoginze it. its the bracket for the coil pack on the three liter motor. it connects to the rear valve cover. you dont need it for the svt coil pack.

What year 3L? Since like 2000 or 2001 they've all been coil on plug. I also know that 98 and 99 (or all the ones I've seen) have used the same coils and mounting as the contour/cougar setup.

Hey?  What are you talking about Tom? We bought 2 x 2002 Taurus engines on Friday and they use the same ingition style as a Contour! I've yet to see a Taurus with coil-on-plug.

Yeah, I def have that bracket in a box in my garage. Escape motors seem to be coil on plug.
