Hello fellow enthusiasts!

Tired of that old Ford emblem on the back of your ride? Want to accentuate that "WTF was that?" look? Well friends wait no more! Nyceboi has the solution for you! Introducing the nyceboi emblem mod!

These are hand-made 1/8" polished aluminum ellipses. Perfectly fits into the existing recess of the Ford oval. The SVT badge is from the trunk and will be applied to the ellipse using epoxy; this makes for a nice flush look rather than using double sided tape which would give it a gap. The emblem is then to be mounted into the recess of the-now-removed Ford emblem using epoxy. The back of the emblem is rough sanded for better adhesion, you may want to do the same for the applied surface. I'm using RTV silicone gasket maker (this is what I used on both front and rear emblems) to bond to the surfaces. Even the 3M double-sided body molding stuff would work - I may opt to just send it out with the 3M tape ready to apply.

So Boi how much does it cost? Well my initial price is @ $40 with a new SVT badge and $30 with your SVT badge. I'm willing to work with this price depending on level of interest. Anodizing the ellipse is another option I am willing to explore depending on interest. Price does not include shipping (but should be cheap since they are US Postal worthy and won't damage).

I am also looking into making one for the Front of the car with the necessary screws to secure it to the grill. If you are interested in these too please post here too.

P.S. Have you considered trying something for the front as well? Mabye not polished though but blacked out or something? Maybe paintable for those color matched guys?

Looks fuggin awesome! This is exactly what I have been waiting for...right now I have a big hole from where I removed the old emblem.

I am assuming that your piece does exactly that...replace the existing emblem, right? How does the ellipse attach to the chrome strip?

Also, can it be done in any other finishes...like flat black or something??

I already have an SVT emblem laying around...so I am interested in the ellipse itself. I think a more reasonable price would be $20-25 (w/o svt emblem)...keep me posted anyway...i am interested and would love to support a fellow CEG'er

its just the ford emblem right? i put a pre 98 trunk on my car and the only ford emblem i have is in the front. it would fit there right?

do you think the 98 trunk silver thing will look good on a pre 98 trunk? you know... that long silver thing... that is a part of the reflector... am i making sense?

The nyceboi emblem looks better in the recess of the "silver thing" . But you can pretty much put it where ever you like. I was looking @ my 96 and since my rear reflectors are shaved off it would look funny (Yes, i have no reverse lights!). Since you proably have the reflectors, you could try to see if fitting the chrome piece would work. PHOTOCHOP!
