as is mine. Make sure you fill that coolant at least a 1/2 inch above the max line. looks a little low.

That may be a dirty ass engine, but a couple cycles of degreaser at the quarter carwash, rinse and maybe another cycle of degreaser and rinse, drive it for about 15-20 minutes to dry it off real good, then apply a healthy amount of tire foam (your choice of brand) to the entire area will cure that problem You will need to wash the car afterwards as the aresol will get all over the windshield and some of the car, but it will probably be needing that as well. You can do that, or come on down to "The Compound" and I'll handle it for you ....don't know what "The Compound" is, well, search my friend and you shall see

No, you're looking at it the wrong way!

It is good looking from the outside. The engine bay looking like that is probably a good thing because it just shows you it is completely stock and not been touched or finger fugged by some Ricy teenager hell bent on FAst and Furious NOS or something. A good clean up job and you're in business.

That is actually a good thing if you're looking for a fun car to Modify. Starting from stock so you only make carefull upgrades to those things you want....makes it nice. Un-screwing someone elses stuff is always depressing and sometimes very costly.
Only rarely do you get a car that is tastefullymodified in such a way that you will like the mods and be able to continue it in a new direction.

Congrats on the "new" ride . Give her a good wash/wax for the winter & you'll be golden . And , of course , clean that engine bay . Or better yet , take it back to the dealership you bought it from and have THEM clean it up for you (like they should've done) .
