That SUCKS big time. I would be pissed off. I would take the car back and tell him its the wrong engine and that you want an SVT engine not a cougar engine.

OOOOKAY.... how the heck do you go to get an engine swap and then NOT OPEN THE HOOD AND LOOK AS SOON AS YOU GO TO PICK IT UP??????? That would be the FIRST thing i did.
Go back and tell him to put the right engine in.

Okay, stay away from Eberts Garage on RT. 4 in Sandusky, Ohio. I'll keep that in mind if i ever need service on any of my vehicles.
People shouldn't run a business if they can't keep their priorities straight or their end of the contract up.

I don't know about your question, but you can search here for a Duratec 2.5L SVT engine or a Duratec 3.0L.

I wonder, if the SVT heads and intakes, maf, from the svt motor would bolt up to the standard block? An idea.

I sure he will try to tell you that the SVT engine is more money, say no way. You notified him of the make and model of the vehicle and he then quoted you a price, don't pay another dime.

True, but the customer obviously asked for a SVT engine and was given a quote. The business should have to stand by the quote the customer was given, that's just good business in my opinion. It is not the customers fault that he put in the wrong engine and quoted him for the wrong engine.
