I chose #1 . My car is garaged all winter ... spring , summer and fall ! It does come out for a few thousand miles a year though (on sunny days , of course ) . I just don't drive it that much .

Sad to say but my tour has now been down graded to part time winter ride. Cause I bought a Mustang GT. So it will only be its second winter of its career. I usually drive my 4x4 1990 jeep cherokee but since the contour will be sitting out side it will have to put some time in this winter.

I didn't vote because my Duratec was supposed to be my 'good car',but then I got the Zetec, which I'm going to build instead. The Zetec is currently stored outside for the winter, wrapped up in 2 car covers,on blocks, and work will commence in the spring. The Duratec is now my DD.

you should make a cardboard spoiler for it.

My '00 SVT it driven into a giant sleeping bag, with four 4FT strips of 1/2" ply wood under the tires to help reduce flat spots, then covered with the regualar cover then I pull the top flap of the sleeping bag over it and toss desiccant packs under the car then zip it all shut. I leave all the doors slightly ajar so the door weather stipping isn't compressed the whole time it sits. Of course I put stabil in the tank and disconnect the battery. Every 2 weeks I roll the car to one of 3 spots on the plywood to help reduce flat spots on the tires even more. Half way through the winter I fire it up for about 5 minutes. This is all inside a heated garage. We do the same for frenchblueC2's Cougar.
We do drive the 95' GL Zetec MTX all winter though. Just got a brand new set of Blizzaks for her.
