2000 Maxima SE, Icelandic Pearl White, fully loaded (minus automatic transmission ) ... original owner, was my dad's coworker. The guy swears by Zaino products ... you could play Slip'n'slide on the paint, it's so smooth! Has two sets of rims, one with all-seasons.
Listed options from window sticker:
- SE Comfort and Convenience Package (sunroof, 17" alloys, power driver's seat, Homelink garage tranceiver, variable intermittent wipers
, cargo net)
- Meridian Edition (heated front seats, heated outside mirrors, low washer fluid light, side airbags, trunk lid trim/liner)
- SE Leather Trim Package (leather seats / door trim, automatic HVAC control, 4-way passenger power seat, passenger side seatback pocket, outside temperature display)
- Bose 7-speaker 200W audio
- sunroof wind deflector
- floor mats
- splash guards
- California emissions
also has foglights, keyless entry with alarm, ABS, split 60/40 rear seat, leather steering wheel and shift knob, dual trip meters (LCD), titanium guages with reverse lighting, automatic headlights, etc..
A teaser .. better pics to follow during the daytime.
The Contour is still for sale ... runs decently ... any takers? Gonna hunt used-car lots this week and see if I can possibly sell it there. The Maxima stays off the road till the Contour is sold (i.e., I have enough money to register and insure it!).

Okay, I stand corrected ... "rims" meaning "alloys" that are on the car with performance tires (radials IIRC?), and winter beater 16" aftermarkets that are filthy and have peeling paint.
The interior does indeed look, and smell, new ... in fact, the only thing giving away this car's age is a few small rust bubbles (on black rear door window frame, easily fixed) and the odometer.
MapofTazi: The Contour is an ATX. That had to go.
(In all seriousness, click the link in my sig for more information - and perhaps hinting toward why I didn't get another Ford. I will own an SVT someday, too addicted to the Contour ... just need a reliable daily driver for now.)

Nice car Matty! I've always liked white pearl! Well, now you won't have any trouble keeping up during our cruises. We'll all have trouble keeping up with you instead!

wow lookin good! I'm actually kinda surprised. I woulda thought you'd go with a used BMW, since I remember how much you loved those.
I was going to try out used Maximas before I got the Cougar, but I guess I never got around to it when I found my Cougar. heh
Enjoy it!

I'm looking for another contour. Whether ATX or MTX. Pref Duratec tho. 2k is at the time outta my range tho. If you guys know of anything cheap over in your neck of the woods. I may greyhound my azz out to get something.

Thanks all! Ideally, I wanted a Mazda 6s or a BMW 323i/325i. However, the Mazda is still out of my price range, and (after a lot of consideration) the BMW just requires too much maintenance that I can cope with at this moment. Someday in the future. The Maxima has higher maintenance costs, but not as bad as BMW, plus it'll probably not break as much either. Dad found this one for cheap(ish), I said oh yeah, took out a small loan and bought it! I did have concerns because the car is larger than I'm used to dealing with (till now, the Contour was the largest car in my family, and the largest I've ever driven discounting my dad's old minivan). However, it's a small tradeoff for the luxury features and sporty, smooth, controlled feel it has. I feel almost bulletproof when I'm in it.
