Exactly. The PETA wing of CEG comes out at times like this. Let the countdown begin to when jerseycat10 comes in here and tells us the dog is smarter than you, even though it ran into a moving 3,000-pound object.
I never said any animal is smarter than a human. It is exactly for that reason that people need to exercise caution when dealing with animals. They depend on us for their safety. He probably killed someone's family pet, and he acts like it is no big deal. That lack of compassion is really going to get him somewhere in life.

A few weeks ago I hit a large Raccoon. He did $1689.69 damage to the front of my CSVT. He cracked the front bumper, bent the lower grill, totally destroyed the lower shroud between the bumper and crossmember, punctured the airconditioning condenser and radiator and bent the lower radiator support.

you know what? Our family pet has been killed plenty of times. The cats, dogs, and oce a horse. I know its an accident and go on with life. Thats it nothing more
I did not laugh at the dogs pain, i wish he would have died immediatly so as not to go through so much pain. But he ran away and i cant go after it to finish it off, for its own sake.

My dad hit a bear one time with his old ass honda accord. The bear wasn't dead so he took one of those light reflector poles out of the ground and put it out of its misery. I don't know if I could have done that. But the original poster may have been in the right to chase that dog down and finish him off if the wounds were critical.
